Noontime walk with Gryph

He looks a lot like my boy Chippy!
Except for the coat. Being an African resident, Chippy dosn't need a coat for outdoors, and would probably chew it off anyway.

Chippy, despite looking the most 'scary' of all our pack, is actually a Mummy's Boy, and the only one who submits to the vet with no protest at all, even if he does look like the muscle from an Italian mafia family.

Thinking of you all in your confinement,

Hi Terri! Many people are scared of Gryphon's appearance, too, and he has a big, deep bark, so he can seem threatening, but he's just the gentlest, sweetest beastie, totally cuddly and loving, and a total mama's boy. I often wonder if (some) people's reactions to him puzzle him, because I don't think he understands how scary he looks. (And, of course, "how scary he looks" is almost entirely a function of myths about pit bulls.)

He wants nothing more than to be with loving people, eating yummy food, and curled up against a warm body, and under a blanket, on the couch or in bed.

He loves his fleece-and-goretex coat, especially on days like yesterday, which was cold with light rain. I find that pitties hate the feel of rain on their skin.

"...hate the feel of rain on their skin"
Haha! That's no lie!
My four will run to the door to go outside in the morning, pushing and shoving each other - unless it's raining. Then they skid to a halt at the threshold, and all pile up in a big heap.

Ha! I can totally picture that. I just get this look like, "you've got to be kidding me."
